On 19 December 1943, Headquarters authorized the activation of the company as an all-black all-volunteer unit with black officers as well as black enlisted men. The 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion was nicknamed the "Triple Nickles" because of its numerical designation and the selection of 17 of the original 20-member "colored test platoon" from the 92nd Infantry (Buffalo) Division. Hence, the origin of the term Buffalo Nickles; the spelling derives from old English. We are proud of our heritage and are excited to present a remastered design in their honor.

Made from a 4.3 oz., 60/40 combed ring-spun cotton/polyester blend, pre-laundered for a soft, comfortable feel. Designed with an athletic fit—may shrink slightly, so DD214 bodies may need to size up.

Each shirt is made to order and printed by U.S. Veterans using vintage water-based inks. The vintage ink will give it a vintage look and the feel is incredibly soft and gets even smoother after the first wash. The print fully absorbs into the fabric for a lightweight, no-scratch feel—so you can move without distraction.
Production takes 3-5 business days before shipping. Your order status will show “Awaiting Fulfillment” until it’s ready to go, and you’ll receive a tracking email once it ships.

All orders are shipped within 3 to 5 business days of you placing the order using DHL eCommerce, USPS, or UPS depending on your location and fastest available service. The typical delivery time frame is between 5-10 business days however, you may receive your items much earlier. Damages And Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. For soft goods, please make sure you wash before deciding if it is too large or print is too heavy, as the material will shrink and the ink will flatten and have a nice vintage look to it.

I purchased this shirt for a friend. As soon as he saw it, he took off the shirt he was wearing and put this one on. He absolutely loved it.
I been shopping with you guys for about a year now, and it's been quite a trip. I've live your remakes and the awesomeness you guys bring to some of these iconic units. I pretty much have all your t-shirt collection in my possession now so I sort of feel complete now. That's good in a sence, becaue now I don't have to be waiting around for when my next favorite one will drop. However, sad at the same time, becaue now I don't have much to look forward to. My last two wishlist t-shirts were that of the Girona remastered and that the 555 Triple Nickle remastered. You guys finally delivered on that for me. I know I had been bugging you guys for quite some time to bring them back, since I missed out on the last drop. Nonetheless, I finally got mines and I and I am a happy paratrooper now. This shirt has quickly become one of my favorites and yet I don't want to wear it all the time so I don't ruin it somehow. It is soft, fits great, and the colors are vibrant with no fading I've noticed. I LOVE this shirt and am already looking at getting another from WETSU - it's that awesome.

Quick story with experience with 555 PIR, I was not aware of the Bn in 1999 when I was Cherry until my 1SG pulled out his ID card(green one lol) and it had 3 nickels glued to the back and I asked him 1SG may I ask what does the three nickels mean and he said come see after COB, I was scared as hell. Old school days I had no business even talking to a 1SG(facts) but long story short he gave me the whole story about what it meant to him and now what it means to me and I love the History behind it. And I’m proud and humble to be apart of the 82nd(Retired) and all my brothers and sisters who are Airborne. And to the Company WETSU, Keep up the good work I love all my shirts. Thank you so much.
